Fans Raise $325K For Davido Ahead Of Birthday

Nigerian pop singer, David Adeleke is having a time to remember as his fans are making it rain money on him ahead of his birthday on November 1. 

What seemed like a tease turned out to be glorious after the Fall singer challenged his followers and friends to send a million naira doe his birthday via a tweet. He did stated that the gesture is for them reciprocate his charitable deeds to them and many others who are not even close to him. 

Within an hour, he had raised over $16.9k, and by the time he would tweet a new snapshot of his bank account, the amount has risen to a whopping $114K (£46m). 

The singer revealed how the amount donated quickly grew by tweeting names of those making paying huge sums into his bank account and those names include famous businessman and philanthropists Ibi Cubana, Naira Marley, Zlatan, MC Galaxy and many others. 

However, the amount soon increased to $242K, and this tweet, he hinted at whose donation could have caused that enormous change in amount when name dropped a famous Nigerian mogul Femi Otedola describing his donation as "bank alarm" instead of calling it an alert. 

As the donations continued to go up, he raised his target to #200m ($485K) but the last amount he revealed that has been received as at the time of this report was $325K.
