Premier League: Cristiano Ronaldo Gets Opening Goal As Man United Beat Tottenham
Manchester United regained their game winning form by beating Tottenham 3-0 at White Hart Lane and might have just lifted pressure off their shoulders following the disappointing game loss against Liverpool last weekend.
Unlike against Liverpool when Mo Sallah stole the show with an hat-trick that stunned United, Cristiano Ronaldo charged the team up by putting the side ahead with the opening goal.
After the half time break, Ronaldo assisted with getting the second goal scored by Edinson Cavani and Marcus Rashford. Even the club manager, Ole Solksjaer Gunnar later admitted the victory has helped restored confidence after a "difficult week" for losing to Liverpool.
"It has been a difficult week for the players, the club, the fans, for me," said Solksjaer who added that he would rather focus on "performance" and also "stayed away from most of the noise."
The victory is United's first in the Premier League in five games and they have moved up to the fifth place with 17 points.
