Barcelona Manager Loses Job

Barcelona have sacked their head coach Ronald Koeman following the club's defeat to Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday.

Koeman hasn't found it easy managing the club and his efforts to improve on the team's performance haven't paid off for the side that has only gained 15 points from 10 games and are ninth in the league.

The dismissal was confirmed in a statement released by the club's president Joan Laporta in which he stated that Koeman was "informed of the decision" shortly after his team lost 1-0 to Vallecano.

Just as in the La Liga, Barcelona are struggling in the Champions League and have lost two games to be third in the group behind Benfica and Bayern Munich respectively.
