Arsenal Into EFL Cup Last Eight
Leeds United are out while Arsenal remain in the Carabao EFL Cup. They made it through to the Last eight by beating their opponents 2-0 at Emirates Stadium.
Mikel Arteta's men quickly snapped the aggression of their opponents in the second half by taking the lead with a header from Callum Chambers. Though the opener was contested against, the referee yet ruled in favour of Gunners for having gone past the goal line.
Leeds confidence dropped significantly after falling behind Arsenal and that culminated in the second goal just 14 minutes later from Eddie Nketiah's strike. The England international flicked the ball over Illan Meslier following a fast break and tapped the ball in from close range for the second goal.
The opening goal score, Chambers came in as sub and got the goal within eight minutes on the pitch. Arsenal now have their unbeaten run unchecked for eight games. Their next match will be known after Last 8 fixtures are announced.
