Robert Lewandowski: Player Dedicates European Golden Shoe To Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich forward, Robert Lewandowski has become thw winner of the 2020-21 European Golden Shoes and he is delighted to dedicate the prize to his club.
The Polish player finished last season as the leading goalscorer with 41 goals which ranked him ahead of other prolific scorers like Lionel Messi (30) and Cristiano Ronaldo (29).
He explained in his Instagram update that the club has been instrumental to his success and without their "collaboration" all his efforts might not just be enough to get him this far in his career.
"Winning this title would not be possible without your support in the sport," he wrote in the lengthy caption with gratitude to the club. "I would like to dedicate this award to all of you who have been by my side."
Golden booth is an award given to the player who scored the most goals in a season in the continent. The 33-year-old led the club to win the Bundesliga title for the 30th time last season during which he won the prize for Bundesliga top goalscorer for the fifth time.
