Tokyo 2020: Tom Darley Takes Bronze In 10m Platform As China's Cao Yuan Wins Gold
Chinese Cao Yuan has printed his name in history as he finished atop in men's 10m platform to become the first to win medals in three different Olympic Games. British swimmer Tom Darley also made the podium for a bronze medal.
The 26-year-old scored 582.35 point to clinch the gold medal while his countryman Jian Yuan came second with 580.40 point and Darley, who possibly was making his last appearance in the Games scored points 528.45 for the bronze.
"I wanted to put the focus on myself and stay calm to make sure the next five had no errors. I tried not to let what other drivers did get into my head," said Cao.
Cao won his first medal at Games in men's 10m platform synchronised diving taking home the silver medals. He won titles in 10m platform at the London 2012 and Rio 2016. That is a feat first completed by him in diving history.
