Manchester City Agrree Deal For Cristiano Ronaldo's Move
Cristiano Ronaldo is set for his return to the Premier League as Manchester City reached an agreement with Juventus and the player's agent Jorge Mendes.
The Premier League champions have just completed a record-signing of £100m for Jack Grealish's move from Aston Villa, and are understood to have reached advanced stage on the Portuguese move to Etihad Stadium ahead of transfer window closure.
Juventus have less than 12-month remaining in the contract signed with Ronaldo, who is set for a two-year deal reportedly worth £250,000-per-week at City.
However, the club's manager Pep Guardiola had at some points hinted at his interest in players Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and Neymar Jr., stating that they are such that can singlehandedly win a game. Such qualities he mentioned he lacks in his team and has often encouraged his men to play as a team to have that capability.
Ronaldo was also understood to be linked to Paris Saint-Germain, but that interest could not materialise after the club switched interest to his Argentine rival, Lionel Messi.
Juventus are understood to have agreed with City to let go of the striker anyways, after talks broke down between them and the player's agent Mendes.
