Man. City Humble Arsenal On Third League Game Defeat

Terrible game for Arsenal as they lost 5-0 at Etihad Stadium to Manchester City extending their winless jinx to three league games in a row as pressure continues to mount of the club boss, Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal had down two goals down to their hosts before Granit Xhaka was red carded for a rough tackle Joao Cancelo. Ilkay Gundogan gave City the lead early in the seventh minute and Ferra Torres doubled it five minutes later.

After the dismissal of Xhaka, Gabriel Jesus made it a third for the title defending champions near the halftime whistle. 10-man Arsenal were left struggling while City extended lead as Rodri Hernandes made it a fourth after the break and Torres scored the fifth for a brace.

While Arsenal were battling with horror of poor performance throughout the game, City had chances to score even more as Raheem Sterling missed scoring twice, Riyah Mahrez and Aymeric Laporte also did.

Under pressure Mikel Arteta was amazed and looked terrified as his team nearly conceded more goal. Arsenal finished the game having 19 percentage  of ball possession and just a shot at the target.

Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola felt satisfied with his team performance and made a good remark Torres describing him as a "good finisher" for scoring a brace and compared him to Leicester player James Vardie considering his "movements" that had an impact on the game.

City's record signing, Jack Grealish, also made his impact felt on that game, creating the scoring chance for Gabriel for a tap into the net from close range just before the break.
