Chelsea Win First Game In New Premier League Season
Chelsea started the new Premier League season with a win in their first game against Crystal Palace which they won comfortably by 3-0 at Stanford Bridge.
Marcos Alonso led the scoring with the opener from a free-kick followed by Christian Pulisic doubling the lead with a strike from close range before halftime.
Not long after the break, Palace fell further behind on scores as Tevor Chalobah added in the third for Blues, and that was his first ever for the club in a league game. The victory extended Chelsea's win to 12 counting from their previous games from last season - They have only lost one in 16 games (W12 L1 D3).
The game was the first Premier League opening game for the club boss Thomas Tuchel, who led the team to win the Champions League last season. He was signed to the club from Paris Saint-Germain to replace former manager Frank Lampard in January.
