Olivier Giroud Nears Completing Transfer To AC Milan
Chelsea have moved closer to securing Olivier Giroud's transfer to AC Milan with a contract worth £1.7million (€2m) on the table for the player to sign.
Giroud made the lineup for France national team for the EURO 2020, which they have been knocked out of in the round of Last 16 by Switzerland on penalties following a 3-3 draw.
The 36-year-old is reportedly expected to have his medical done soon ahead of signing the contract. Meanwhile, Chelsea had just triggered an extension option in Giroud's contract until next year June.
As it is presently, Milan's move for the player is already reach an advance stage and Blues are committed to selling him off. He is set to be the second player after Tokori Fikayo to join the Italian side this summer. Fisayo was retained by the Italain side after triggering £25m buyout option in his loan contract.
