Everton Near Rehiring Rafa Benitez
Everton are reportedly in talks with their former manager, Rafa Benitez, for his return to the club as the new head coach. Carlos Ancelotti stepped down from the role after two seasons to rejoin his former team Real Madrid.
The Spaniard manager might not be alone in the race for the job as the club is understood to have also contacted Brighton & Albion Hove's Graham Potter, former manager Roberto Martinez amongst others, but Rafa stands a better chance having had talks with the club majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri.
Everton's hope of competing favourably in the league on the signing of Ancelotti was yet unattainable despite making signings like James Rodriguez from Real Madrid and Alex Iwobi from Arsenal as they finished seventh last season.
As footballing activities is set to resume by with pre-season games starting from July 5, the club management
