Brighton Decline Arsenal's £40m Offer For Ben White

Arsenal have returned to the drawing board after Brighton rejected their £40million bid for their centre-back player Ben White, who made a regular appearance for the side last season which they managed to survive relegating after finishing 16th.

Both sides are believed to be in talks and Gunners are expected to up their bid for the 23-year-old in their bid to improve on their defense. They will not be playing any European football next season having finished eighth - it will be the club's first time since 1994-95.

Mikel Arteta led the team to win the FA Cup in his debut season as the head coach in 2019/2020 and followed that up by winning the 2019/2020 FA Community Shield after beating Chelsea in penalties. But, last season was disappointing for the Spaniard manager despite buying attacking midfielder Willian from Chelsea to bolster the team in the front.

White performance at Brighton earned a call for Euro 2020 to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold after being ruled out for sustaining an injury.
