Premier League: Chelsea Consolidate Position In Top Four After Home Win Against Fulham

Chelsea consolidated on their position in the top four in a 2-0 win against Fulham that are left to the depressing fate of relegating from the Premier League - they are in 17th place after the defeat.

Kai Havertz scored a brace and both goals went in in both halves of the game with assists from Mason Mount and Timo Werner. Blues remained in 4th place with six points clear nearest team West Ham.

Early into the first half. Mount inspired the opening goal with a through ball which the German player latched onto and finished off for the Blues' lead. Early upon their return from break, Werner set him off after they did a one-two ball and he slid the ball into the back of the net.

Fulham did not go down easy as they had two glaring chances in the first half but Edouard Mendy denied Antonee Robinson and Ola Aina's attempts. The loss left Fulham winless in their past 24 Premier League London derbies since 2014 against West Ham.
