Neymar Jr. Gets Contract Extension
Neymar has committed more years to Paris St. Germain after signing a contract extension deal that will keep him at the club until 2025.
PSG are in a battle to defending the Ligue 1 which Lille are coasting to win having led by four points which could end the Paris-based side's dominance of the title for three consecutive seasons.
"I'm really pleased to continue my signature at Paris Saint-Germain," the club's official website quoted him as saying. "I'm very happy in Paris, and proud to be part of this squad, to work with these players, a great coach, and to be part of this club."
The Brazilian was once strongly linked to Barcelona, a move that he pursued seriously, and also handed a request letter to leave to PSG but could not secure his return to Spain in the end.
"I have grown as a person here, as a human being, and as a player, too. So, I am very happy to extend and I hope to win many more trophies here."
Neymar joined the club in a world record-signing of £198m in 2017 and has led the team to win Coupe de France twice and as the Champions League runners-up in 2019-20.
