Manchester City Crowned Champions
Manchester City are the new champions of the Premier League and their third in four seasons under Pep Guardiola, who holds the record of the first manager in the league to lead a club to win three domestic titles in English football history.
Citizens emerged as the champions having led the season with 80 points and leading the closest team, Manchester United, by 10 points. With three games remaining, United can no longer meet or overtake City even if they won all the remaining games.
United lost the bid to hold down the Guardiola-led team after losing 2-1 at home to Leicester City, who defiled their attempted comeback as Caglar Soyuncu scored the winner after an hour of play, canceling out Mason Greenwood's equalizer Foxes' scored by Luke Thomas.
The victory ended the club's one-season long league drought of the side that couldn't defend the title last term which Liverpool won to end their 30 years long league title drought.
Besides, Citizens have one more title at their reach which is the Champions League, the final of which they will be appearing for the first time in their history and will play against their league mates, Chelsea.
