Antonio Conte Leaves Inter Milan
Antonio Conte has left Inter Milan just days after leading the team to win their first Italia Serie A title in over a decade. He has yet a season remaining in the three-year contract signed with the club in 2019.
Inter led the league standings with 12 points clear of the nearest team, AC Milan (79), which ended their 11 years league title drought. At the same time, Juventus who were defending the title failed to lift the trophy for the first time in nine years.
The 51-year-old joined the club from Chelsea leading the team to win the 2018/19 FA Cup but was later replaced by Maurizio Sarri the following season. Upon his arrival at Inter, he went on to sign players like Romelu Lukaku, Christian Eriksen, and Alexis Sanchez from the Premier League to enhance his squad.
Top-flight European clubs like Real Madrid and Tottenham are reportedly linked to Conte amidst speculations that Zinedine Zidane might leave Bernabeu this summer and Spurs are currently in search of Jose Mourinho replacement.
