Andrew Garfield Distances Self From Return To Spider-Man

Spider-Man: No Way Home is obviously hitting the cinemas in winter this year following the release dates and titles of films Marvel Studios confirmed via a clip on Monday. In the midst of this, some fans are speculating the return of Andre Garfield to his role in the sequel in which Tom Holland reprising his role as Peter Parker. Those anticipations may just not be true and Garfield did confirm that himself.

Acknowledging his awareness of the speculation, Garfield clarified that he has realized that the rumors of his return to the multiverse are trending on the platform. Oftentimes, he feels like having something to say regarding what is true about the situation but would like those behind the rumors to "chill" for a moment.

Speaking to Josh Horowitz, he stated "they might be doing something, but I ain't got a call," otherwise the theories about him would have been true. Unfortunately, that is not the case as even Tom once mention that, having read the scripts, there are no indications of Garfield nor Tobey Maguire would be returning neither will they cameo.

Garfield was labeled the ideal Spider-Man on his debut as Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man in 2012 which had Jamie Foxx as the villain portrayed as Electro. Though the actor might not be returning, Jamie and Benedict Cumberbatch will be reprising their roles as Electro and Doctor Strange respectively. Marvel confirmed early this week that the sequel will be out on 21 Dec. 2021.
