Ryan Mason Assume Role As Tottenham's Interim Head Coach
Tottenham has appointed Ryan Mason as the club's interim head coach on the departure of former manager Jose Mourinho who was sacked on Monday.
Leading to the dismissal of Mourinho, Spurs were eliminated from the Europa League competition by Dinamo Zagreb and were winless in three successive league games leaving the club in seventh place in the EPL.
The appointment of Mason was confirmed via a tweeted update and it was revealed that he will hold the position for the remainder of the season.
"Following the departure of Jose Mourinho, we can now confirm that Ryan Mason will take charge as Interim Head Coach for the remainder of the season," the club tweeted.
Mason was forced to retire from playing football at the club following an injury in 2018. He was soon giving the role of head of player development. His appointment as the interim head was believed to be based on his good relationship with the players.
