Russell Crowe, Chris Hemsworth Working On Gladiator 2


Over two decades after Gladiator made its debut, least to the expectations of many would not have been a sequel of the film especially in this coronavirus pandemic. Well, Chris Hemsworth and Russell Crowe are rumored to be "considering" to make that happen. 

Gladiator was the year 200 big blockbuster film at the box office, closing with a whopping gross of over $400million and winning five out of 11 nods received for Oscars Award - It was a big winner at the 72nd award ceremony winning the best picture and Russell went home with the best male actor award. 

The insider who made this know, revealed Russell and Chris are in talks "carefully considering the concept" of how they would make Gladiator 2 happen. It is also revealed that the script in which both actors have "spent hours musing over" is intended to cast Chris as Maximus' son and also as co-writer of the film. 

Russell, in the first Gladiator, was the lead actor portrayed as Roman general Maximum Decimus Meridius whose father was murdered by Commodus portrayed by Joaquin Phoenix, the ambitious son of Emperor Marcus Aurelius.
