Oscars 2021: Nomadland Wins Big As Anthony Hopkins Takes Lead Actor Award For 'The Father'


Nomadland won big at the 93rd Oscars Awards ceremony, taking home major prizes amongst which was the best director and best film of the year. 

Late Black Panther star, Boseman Chadwick, lost out on best actor to Sir Anthony Hopkins who took the prize for his role in Florian Zeller-directed film, The Father. Meanwhile, his fellow cast in the superhero film, Daniel Kaluuya won the best supporting actor for his role in Judas And The Black Messiah.

Kaluuya made history at the event he became the first black British actor ever to win an Oscar. He was portrayed as Illinois Black Panther chairman, Fred Hampton, who was betrayed by William O'Neal who infiltrated the secret society.
