Kevin De Bruyne Signs New Contract With Manchester City
Manchester City has signed a new contract with their midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne, that will keep the Belgian player at Etihad Stadium until 2025.
Kevin led the club in Tuesday's Champions League quarter-final 2-1 home victory against Borussia Dortmund, by putting the side in the lead and doubled by Phil Foden on the brink of full-time, six minutes after Marco Reus gave the Germans the equalizer.
The two-time Premier League winner with Citizens revealed his decision was "straightforward" on signing the new contract - the new deal is a two-year extension of his previous contract with the club.
"Signing this contract was a straightforward decision. This football club is geared for success," said the midfielder. "It offered me everything I need to maximize my performance."
Kevin joined the Premier League side from VFL Wolfsburg in 2015 and is set to be a long-term serving player at the club should he remain until the end of the contract. He has since his spell won four EFL Cup, an FA Cup, and a Community Shield title with the club.
