Champions League: PSG Progress To Semis As B. Munich Are Out
Neymar Jr. managed to get his team, Paris St-Germain, through to the semi-finals of the Champions as they lost 1-0 to titleholders, Bayern Munich and yet claimed the victory (3-3 Aggr.) on away goals.
The Germans came into the game with two away goals deficit to the French side from the first leg and took the lead when Maxim Choupo-Moting headed home a rebound shot from David Alaba's strike. Having to lead by a lone goal could not get the club through.
Neymar did make his presence felt during the game could have got the winner for the Ligue 1 side but on two occasion his attempt at the goal clipped the woodwork. That was moments before Choup-Moting gave Munich the deciding goal late into the first half.
Likewise, Kylian Mbappe was closed to getting an equalizer for PSG with 10 minutes, but his goal was ruled out over offside positioning. Meanwhile, Munich's top striker Robert Lewandowski missed the match over an injury.
