Bayern Munich: Hansi Flick Wants Club To Terminate Contract
Bayern Munich head coach Hansi Flick has demanded that the club terminate his contract following weeks of disagreement with the club's director of sport, Hasan Salihamidic.
Munich, who are the Champions League title holders, were knocked out of the competition by Paris St-Germain on Tuesday o away goal advantage. On this day, Hansi revealed in a statement he had informed his team of his potential exit at the end of the season.
"It was important to me that the team hears it from me because there is already one or two things about the rumour," he said after the club's 3-3 league win against Wolfsburg on Saturday. "I am absolutely thrilled with this team, with the attitude, with the quality and I am grateful to be able to accompany the team."
The 56-year-old is believed to linked to the German national team as a potential replacement for Joachim Low in summer. Since his appointment as the club's manager to replace former head coach Niko Kovac in 2019, he has won five silverware including the Champions League and the Bundesliga title.
