Premier League: Wolves Stunned As Late Goals Seal Victory For Man City

Manchester City maintained strong leadership by claiming maximum points from the 4-1 home game win against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Gabriel Jesus gifted his side two goals in the victory that saw the team scoring three goals in the last remaining 10 minutes.

Leander Dendoncker put Citizens in the lead early in the first half and Wolves responded with Conor Coady scoring the equalizer to cancel out their lead after the break. However, the visitors' expectations to force a draw crumbled late into the game.

Wolves' fate of losing the game became known when Gabriel Jesus reclaimed the lead for Citizens and Riyad Mahrez made it a third on the brink of full-time. Gabriel sealed the victory in the injury time.

Citizens extended their unbeaten run 28 consecutive games in all competitions matching their previous record for the fate since 2017. The victory pushed the side ahead in the title race with 15 points clear nearest rivals.

Pep Guardiola only made one substitute throughout the game. Rather than bringing on Sergio Aguero, he chose to sub Bernando Silva with Ilkay Gundogan. Riyad's goal was his seventh league goal so far this season.
