Manchester City Target Erling Haaland To Replace Sergio Aguero
Erling Haaland has earned himself a spot in Pep Guardiola's wish-list for Sergio Aguero's replacement. Even at that, he is not alone as Tottenham's Harry Kane is also amongst players lined up to take up the role from the Argentine forward.
Aguero will be leaving Manchester City on the expiration of his contract this summer and has bid his farewell to the club and his fans, He described his spell of 10 years at Etihad Stadium as "a huge sense of pride and satisfaction" that will last long with him.
The Norwegian forward has been in top form since his arrival at Borussia Dortmund with which has has the highest goalscoring for this season. Having scored league 21 goals this season, he trails only Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski in the Buindesliga top goalscorers.
However, getting to land a deal with the forward is suspected not to be that easily as might be thought about, thus Kane is believed to be the player that Guardiola has reserved as his plan B should he fail to secure the transfer Haaland.
Signing of neither Haaland nor Kane will be at a huge price for Citizens knowingfully that the Norwegian has a release clause of £64m in his four-year contract signed with Dortmund. Likewise, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Mancheter United are believed to be monitoring the player with the aim of joining the race for his signature.
