Champions League: Liverpool Advance To Quarter-final

It is not allover for Liverpool in terms of fighting for silverware this season, even if they will not be having that in the domestic league, there is yet hope of that in the Champions League after reaching the quarter-final of the competition.

Reds' return to their turf in the second league of the Last 16 paid off with a 2-0 win against RB Leipzig that gave the side an aggregate of 4-0, sealing their qualification for the Last Four. This could be a sigh of relief for the team manager Jurgen Klopp who recently has been criticized for his men's flop in the Premier League.

The German side dropped out of the competition after Mo Sallah lashed a low-cut shot home after Diogo Jota set him for the strike with a back pass, Four minutes later, Sadio Mane finished Divock Origi's cross for the victory.

Despite the Reds' poor outings in PL, they have maintained an unbeaten run against the Bundesliga side in 12 games and Sallah's goal was his 25th in all competitions this season.
