Premier League: Leicester Beat Liverpool In Thrilling Comeback
Apparently, things are beginning not to look pretty for Liverpool after suffering their second defeat in a row to Leicester City that staged a thrilling comeback to snatch victory by 3-1 from the defending champions late into the game.
Liverpool were bedeviled by the sloppy defensive that cost them the game just like they did against Manchester City last weekend. Foxes seized the last remaining 12 minutes of the game to cancel out the Reds' lead scored by Mo Salah. Meanwhile, the hosts had forfeited two chances from the first half that should have given them the lead.
Salah's goal came in from an individual effort and finished off from close range an area ball from Roberto Firmino which was later canceled out by James Maddison from a free-kick. Jamie Vardy netted the second goal for Foxes running into a loose ball as a result of floppy goalkeeping from Allison.
With five minutes remaining before that stoppage time, Harvey Barnes lashed home the third goal from Ndidi Wilfred's past. The victory leapfrogged Leicester to the second position in the table as the title race continues to slide off the reach of Liverpool.
