Fantastic Beast 3 Filming Stopped Over Covid-19 Infection
Filming of Fantastic Beast 3 has been forced to have a break after a member of the crew was understood to have contracted the mutant Covid-19 virus in South Africa. However, the infected cast member is set to be replaced should there be a need to take that step.
Fantastic Beast recently had one of its cast Johnny Depp ruled out over the actor's loss of a libel lawsuit leading him to step down from his role as Gellert Grindelwald as demanded from him by Warner Bro. The decision made by the studio also rolled over on the actor's lead role in the Pirates of the Caribbean.
Though it is not understood what variant the member contracted, it is suspected it must have been the South African variant as revealed by the insider. Consequentially, the situation might force the filming to be shut down until further notice.
"The studios have been one of the most secure Covid places since reopened," said the insider. "So there are real fears that it is the African South variant that has got through."
