Bayern Complete Signing Of Dayot Upamenaco

 


Bayern Munich have finally won the race to sign RB Leipzig player Dayot Upamenaco and the player will officially become theirs in the summer, the club confirmed. 

The German side's sporting director Hasan Salhamdzic in a statement confirmed the transfer that ended the interest of other contenders like Manchester United, Chelsea, and Liverpool, who have also shown strong interest in the player. Salhamdzic revealed the player was signed to a five-year by his club. 

"We knew that there would be a lot of competition. Upamecano is a young player already with highly developed talents," said Salhamdzic who added that signing the youngster took a long process of convincing him that Bayern is the right place for his future.

Upamenaco is expected to be a replacement for David Alaba who is expected to leave the club for Real Madrid by the end of the season, The club CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge was pleased with the signing of former Leipzig player calling him an "interesting" player and acknowledged the imminent exit of Alaba in the summer. 

"The fact is that the player is interesting," said Rummenigge."The fact is that we will almost certainly lose David Alaba at his position."
