Australian Open: Naomi Osaka Wins For Career Fourth Grand Slam Title
It is finally the fifth Grand Slam title for Japanese ace Naomi Osaka winning her second Australian Open title after beating Jennifer Brady. In total, Naomi has won four Grand Slam titles in her career.
Naomi, who defeated former AO champion, Serena William, clinched the title in straight sets victory over the American opponent in under one hour and half minutes. The 23-year-old successfully won the title for the second time after winning it for the first time in 2019.
She was a little frustrated with Brady's resilience at 4-4 but a cross-court forehand shot handed her the lead and fought through a deuce to take the set. She picked the first game in the second set and went on to trash the American in straight sets, 6-4 6-3.
"I want to thank my team, I've been with them too long," said Naomi. "We've been through quarantine together, and for me, they're like my family, they're with me through training."
