Anthony Davies Suffers Achilles Injury In Lakers' Defeat To Nuggets
Anthony Davies damaged his Achilles injury on Sunday during the LA Lakers 122 - 105 defeat on the road to Denver Nuggets and Nikola Jokic posting up a terrible-double of 23 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists to lead the side to win the game.
The incident happened in the second quarter when he was fouled by Nikola and at that time, the Nuggets were only in the lead by 60-55. Davies leaving the court for MRS scan left the team struggling while their hosts widened the lead by as much as 21 points in the fourth quarter.
Nuggets so comfortably control the game that six of the players finished the game with double-digit scoring and Jamal Murray 25 points, six rebounds, and four assists.
Davies only lasted for less than 15 minutes before the incident posting up 15 points, four rebounds, and one assist. LeBron James led the team with a double-double of 22 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists.
The loss ended the Lakers' unbeaten run that lasted through seven games in a row and they remain second in the Western Conference having improved 21-7.
