Vin Diesel Confirms Fast & Furious Will End With 10th Episode

Apparently, the Fast & Furious franchise is just near its end after running for nearly two decades and Vin Diesel has come out to confirm that the 10th installment will be the last without a doubt. The need to draw the curtains on the film at this point happened to be preplanned right from the start with the film's late actor Pablo Walker.

Diesel explained the reasons why the films should end at this point during an interview with Entertainment Weekend, pointing out that the plan is to draw the curtains on the high.

"Even as far back as 2012, 2013, it was something that Pablo and I would discuss, finishing on the 10th one," the 53-year-old actor mentioned. " That just always felt right. And being a part of the Marvel franchise, seeing that possibility that when you have that much story you can end with two films."

Nonetheless, there are expectations that the film will not just fizzle out like that but will go on in the form of many spin-offs. Besides, Hobbs and Shaw - a film starring Dwayne Johnson, Idris Elba, and Jason Statham - is one that can be mentioned as a spin-off from the franchise.

Diesel continued, "It was something that we'd talked about that became real. It's just been such a wonderful, wonderful run, and we'd always envisioned that 10 would be the farewell, the finale, and that is what our story is working towards."
