The Marksman Leads Box Office With $3.7M
In a market that is badly hit by the coronavirus pandemic with most cinemas closed, Liam Neeson's film 'The Marksman' yet notched the top spot at the box office for $3.7million on opening weekend screening at 1,975 cinemas.
Getting to bring films to the cinemas has been a really tough decision for filmmakers following the coronavirus pandemic that has forced recently released films like Wonder Women to be released on streaming platforms the weekend after its debut.
The Marksman gross might sound paltry but judging by the situation, it has been considered to be a fair performance being Liam's third film to notch the #1 spot in this pandemic. The film followed in the stead of Honest Thief and The Grey - both released by Liam.
Coming in second place on the BO chart is the computer-adaptation animation film Croods: The New Age taking $2.9M to gross having screened from 1,855 cinemas, and in the third is Wonder Woman with $2.7M.
