Premier League: Son Heung-Min Reached 100th Goal In Tottenham Win Against Leeds United
Tottenham regained winning form after four consecutive winless league game run as Son Heung-Min reached a milestone scoring feat of 100th goal in 3-0 home win against Leeds United.
Leeds looked ready to cause a scare from the start when Rodrigo side-netted a left-footed shot, eventually the game went Spurs way following a needless foul committed by Alioski in the box hanging off a spot-kick to the hosts. The maximum points leapfrogged Spurs to third in the table.
Harry Kane converted the penalty drawn by Bergwijn and that was doubled three minutes by Son Heung-Min tapping home a through pass from Harry before the halftime whistle. Spurs sealed the victory with a winning goal when Illan Merslier poorly saved Toby Anderweireld's header following a corner taking by Son just five minutes after their return from break.
The goal margin could have been wider, Merslier was well-positioned to save Bergwijn's shot from close range from Son's through ball. Spurs later lose Matt Doherty in the injury time for a red card offense committed on Leeds winger Pablo Hernandez.
Leeds' defeat is the biggest margin Spurs have ever beaten a side since July (Leicester 3-0) making it the hosts' fourth win in five home league games this season.
