Noah Baumbach Lands Massive Exclusive Deal With Netflix

Netflix has confirmed a multiple-year exclusive deal with Noah Baumbach to write and direct films for the streaming service platform for many years to come. Noah has collaborated with the platform for which he directed the Oscar-winning drama Marriage Story which grabbed six nods in 2019.

Confirming the deal with Netflix, the network's co-CEO and Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos described bringing the 52-year-old on board as such that feels like a "family" following the success they once recorded with him.

"When we started to work together almost together four years ago, he immediately felt like family," said Sarandos. "I'm thrilled we're finally making it official."

Noah made his debut with the streaming network with The Meyerpwitz Stories and followed up with Marriage Story that earned him two Academy Awards nominations. Presently, he is working on a new film White Noise, a film that is an adaptation of Don DeLillo's seminal novel.
