Martin Odegaard Closes On Move To Arsenal

Martin Odegaard edged closer to completing his loan transfer to Arsenal Madrid and has completed his medical ahead of his move from Real Madrid.

The Norwegian, 22, is deemed to replace Mesut Ozil who left Arsenal to join his home country's club Fernabahce two days ago. Meanwhile, leaving Bernabeu is something that Odegaard has craved for as he hardly gets enough game time at the club.

In the quest to fill up the gap left off by Ozil, Gunners are understood to have agreed with their La Liga counterparts on signing the attacking midfielder, who is also linked to Real Sociedad where he spent the whole of last season on loan.

Sociedad could not get hold of the player because Madrid reportedly preferred selling him to a club outside of the league. Odegaard will be the second signings completed by Arsenal after Matt Ryan - a goalkeeper from Brighton - After a deal is confirmed.
