LA Lakers Take Second Road Trip Defeat In A Row

Los Angeles Lakers endured second road trip defeat in a row to Detroit Pistons as the host team seized the last quarter to snatch victory with Blake Griffin posting 23 points, three rebounds, and six assists.

The Lakers played without Anthony Davis whose place was taken up by Kyle Kuzma teaming up with LeBron James at the front. The defeat followed the defending champions' loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday that ended their winning streak on the road.

Both LeBron and Kuzma posted up a double-double while Pistons had six players having double-digit scoring with Wayne Ellington having 20 points, two rebounds, and two assists. The hosts had their worst loss this season against Cleveland Cavaliers (122-107) on Wednesday.

Speaking after the game, LeBron encouraged his teammates to keep their bodies and minds "fresh" despite having to lose back-to-back on the road because "every team has long road trips" just like them.
