Frank Lampard Expresses "Worries" Over Chelsea's Form
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has come out to express his frustration over the team's failing performance that has resulted in dropping down the table after losing 2-0 to Leicester City on Tuesday.
Blues have only won two in eight of their previous league games and are now slacking in the title race as they are eighth in the table with 29 points. Lampard admitted where the team is presently is outrightly not where they "want to be" this season.
The former midfielder of the club, 42, is into his second season since joining the club from Derby County in 2019 and had an impressive start to the season with the team being at the top spot before they set for a downward spiral.
"I am worried," said Lampard. " From the form, we were in to get so quickly in to the for we're in now, even with the Fulham win and some other wins in there, we should be better than losing five in eight."
Foxes moved up to the top of the table from the maimum points gained from beating Chelsea by 2-0 which were scored by Wilfried Ndidi and James Maddison in the first half.
"We were beaten by a better team," he continued. "They were sharper than us, they rab more than us, they looked like a team in form and we looked like a team out of form."
Chelsea were a big spender in the summer transfer window completing the signing of seven players amongst which was Hakim Ziyech and Ben Chilwell.
