Wonder Woman 1984 Scores Big On Christmas Weekend, Trilogy Announced



Wonder Woman 1984 took a stunning debut in the international market hauling in $85million on Christmas weekend for an impressive worldwide launch. Warner Bros. has now made the film available to stream on HBO Max without additional cost.
 
Compared to the performance recorded in the domestic market, the film's grossing of $16.5m was been considered to be fair due to the coronavirus pandemic. Nonetheless, the sequel's scored the best at the box office to take the top spot of the weekend chart. 

The studio wasted no time to announce a trilogy shortly it recorded an impressive worldwide debut, and also that at some points had been teased about by the film's director Patty Jenkins. Warner chief Toby Emmerich confirmed Patty will be returning as the director and Gal Gadot will reprise her role in the trilogy.

Toby added, "As fans around the world continue to embrace Diana Prince, driving the strong opening weekend performance of Wonder Woman 1984, we are excited to be able (to) continue her story with our real life Wonder Woman."
