Trailblazers Passed L.A Lakers For Second Straight Win
Los Angeles Lakers could not maintain their winning form at the start of the season against Damian Lillard-led side, Portland Trailblazers, that passed the side 107 - 115 to claim their second win in three games to improve 2-1.
Dennis Schroder and Anthony Davies had kept the Lakers in an 85-82 lead at the end of the third quarter before Portland got fired up wrestling the lead of the hosts and went clear with a wider margin into the fourth quarter to win the game.
Portland did not have the most of the opener which LeBron James inspiring the Lakers for an early lead but soon they soon come back stronger as Gary Trent Jr. posted up 10 points coming in from the bench to give the side the lead by the end of the second quarter.
Lillard posted 31 points, four rebounds, and five assists to lead the standouts followed by LeBron James with 29 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists. Gary added up 28 points, three rebounds, and an assist for Portland.
Portland claimed the victory with three players - CJ McCollum (20pts, 3 rbs, and 11 ast), Jusuf Nurkic (10 pts, 12 rbs, and 3 ast), and Enes Kanter (12 pts and14 rbs) - adding up double-doubles to the standouts.
Lakers' Schroder added up a personal best of 24 points, fours rebounds, and four assists followed Davies with a double-double of 13 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists.
