Premier League: Wolves Snatched Victory From Chelsea With Two Brilliant Strikes

Wolverhampton snatched off the maximum points from Chelsea in a stunning comeback to win 2-1, a loss that sent Blues down the EPL table to fifth.

A win could have put Chelsea in the third but Wolves proved to be the better side with more blunt finishing acumen shown off by Daniel Podence and Pedro Neto. The margin could have been wider had the VAR not overturn a would-be spot-kick drawn by Neto.

Olivier Giroud had made a stunning attempt at the goal before slamming home a brilliant right-footed shot that slipped off Rui Patricio's hands and rolled past the crossline for the opening goal. Zouma also had a header clip the crossbar before the side gained the lead.

Wolves responded to the deficit with Podence brilliantly taking out two Chelsea defenders before slamming home a well-aimed shot that beat Mendy to the goal and Neto followed up with the decider in the injury time with another brilliant finish from inside the box following a fast break.

The hosts regained their winning streak after they had lost two consecutive league games and leapfrogged to the 10th position leveling on points with Manchester United, who are ninth with 20 points.
