Premier League: Alexander Lacazette Leads Arsenal To Beat Brighton
Arsenal are gradually easing off the pressure and are climbing up the table once again as a result of a back-to-back win completed with a 1-0 away victory at Brighton.
Alexander Lacazette gave the side the needed winning goal midway through the second half but they were faced with strong resilience from the hosts, who had multiple scoring chances but were stopped by Bernd Leno.
Saka Busayo inspired a fast break and squared a through ball to Lacazette to slammed a well-aimed right footed shot from inside the box that beat Robert Sanchez to the goal. Lacazette's goal came seconds after coming off the bench as a sub for Gabrielli Martinelli.
Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang also had had a scoring chance from close range but was stopped by Sanchez. Martinelli also made an attempt but his curling shot went just inches over the crossbar.
Arsenal improved to 13th position with 20 points and has somewhat taken the pressure off Mikel Arteta's shoulder. The Spaniard manager played Busayo and Dani Ceballos leaving the club's record-signing player, Nicolas Pepe, on the bench.
