Los Angeles Lakers Claim First Win On Christmas Day

Los Angeles Lakers claimed their first win of the season after passing Dallas Mavericks 138 - 115 on Christmas Day. LeBron James led the team to take the victory despite suffering an ankle injury from their previous game against L.A Clippers.

The hosts started off strong to take a double-digit lead over Mavericks by the third quarter and holding on to the margin through the rest of the fourth quarter with James posting up a double-double of 22 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists.

James led the team to win their first NBA Championship trophy last season and was up in the game against Mavericks, whose defense was poor enough for the Lakers to dominate completing 19 in 39 three-point attempts.

Anthony Davies led the standouts for the Lakers with 28 points, eight rebounds, and five assists, followed in third by Montrezl Harrell with 22 points, seven rebounds, and two assists.
