LeBron James And Anthony Davis To Sign New Contracts With Los Angeles Lakers


 

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James is set for a two-year contract extension likewise his teammate Anthony Davis who joined the franchise from New Orleans Pelicans last year.

Pelicans traded Davis to Lakers in an exchange with Josh Hart, Lonzo Ball, Brandom Ingram, and three other first-pick drafted players. He is reportedly set to sign a maximum contract of five years that is worth $190m (£141m) with an option to terminate the contract ahead of the completion of the contract. 

James, on the other hand, is understood to land $85m (£63m) from the two-year extension contract that will run until 2022-23 according to ESPN. 

Both players were instrumental to the franchise's NBA Championship title win last term which ended the team's title-drought of 10 years. it was also James' first Championship trophy in four years and the fourth in his career of seventeen years.
