David Alaba: Chelsea In Pole To Sign Bayern Munich Defender
Chelsea are sticking out for Bayern Munich defender David Alaba with the intention of secure his signature amidst links to other European giants.
Alaba is available for free in the January transfer window and Blues are understood to have arranged to kick off talks with the defender's agent Pini Zahavi by next year, the Bundesliga side is not keened on keeping the Austrian player either.
The club president Herbert Hainer confirmed it could not press on with contract talks with the player's team over discrepancies over offer which was perceived "unsatisfactory" by the team.
Though Chelsea are believed to be in the pole to sign the player, Juventus, Real Madrid, and Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain are also in the race to sign the player.
However. Alaba is a protege of the club's academy and has since his promotion to the senior team in 2009, won 24 silverware with the team including nine Bundesliga titles and two Champions League titles.
