Champions League: Mo Salah Makes History As Liverpool Progress To Last 16
Liverpool are through to the knockout stages of the Champions League after a 1-1 draw against Midtjylland to come out as the leaders of Group D with 13 points.
The already eliminated Denmark side come back from behind to level up scoring with the former title defenders through Alexander Scholz after Mohamed Salah had put the side in the lead early in the first minute.
Salah's goal was happened to be Liverpool's earliest goal in the Champions League history and it effectively made him the all-time highest goal scorer for the club with 22 goals - the feat toppled the previous record set by the club's legendary player Steve Gerrand.
Though the Premier League side had a couple of chances, the Danish side had most attempts with 20 shots at the target which is the most any club would ever have against Liverpool in a single group stage game.
