Arsenal Defender Moves To Bundesliga On Loan
Sead Kolasinac has agreed to leave Arsenal on loan to the German Bundesliga where he will rejoin Schalke for the rest of the 2020/21 season.
The full-back who joined Arsenal in the summer of 2017, is already in the country ahead of the completion of his loan contract with his new club. He had just come out of self-isolation after he was tested positive for coronavirus symptoms in November.
"Sead needs to be playing regularly, so we have decided together that a move back to Germany with Schalke will benefit him at this moment," said the club's technical director, Edu.
Schalke was where Sead started his football career as a youth player and progressed to the senior as a regular starter for five years. He left the club to join Arsenal under former head coach Arsene Wenger.
Edu went further to say that the club will maintain contact with the 27-year-old and wish him "success for the remainder of the season" with the club.
