Champions League:Timo Werner Scores Brace In Chelsea Big Win Against Rennes
Timo Werner helped Chelsea through securing their unbeaten run as they sealed a 3-0 win against Rennes to stay atop of Group E.
The Ligue side gifted away the two goals scored by Chelsea's newly-signed forward in penalties and Chagas Estavos was red-carded for committing the offenses that led to the penalties - he had first down Werner in the box before handballing a shot from Tammy Abraham.
Tammy gave Chelsea the comfortable lead over the opponents and completed the scoring by tapping in Reeces James' - the goal was however the forward's the first goal in the competition.
Werner was near getting a hat-trick shortly after Tammy's goal from James' cross which he did not connect to for a tap in from close range.
Blues had the best of the game and were seemingly undisturbed by the French side except for Clement Grenier's effort which Edouard Mendy saved.
