Sylvester Stallone Lands Role In Suicide Squad 2
Sylvester Stallone has been cast in a role in the oncoming Suicide Squad 2 film as announced by the film's director James Gunn via an update on Instagram. Gunn confessed his experience working with the famous Rambo actor in past is such that he cherished and it has not changed in this film either.
Stallone, who is famous, not alone for his role in Rambo but also for 1976's Rocky - a documentary of which was released in June themed "40 Years of Rocky: The Birth of a Classic - Gunn described as an iconic figure in the movie industry that may not be known to many.
In an IG update accompanied by a picture with the actor, he wrote: "Always love working with my friend @officialslystallone & our work today on ~TheSuicideSquad was no exception. Despite Sly being an iconic movie star, most people still don't have any idea what an amazing actor this guy is."
Amongst DC superhero films directed by Gunn includes Guardians of The Galaxy 1 & 2 and Avengers: Endgame. His prequel of Suicide Squad was a huge success for DC closing with a domestic gross of staggering $325.1million and a worldwide gross totaling at $746.8m as against a budget of $175million.
Responding to the update, Sylvester followed with a message describing himself as a "lucky" man to have been in the film's sequel with an "incredible director" like Gunn that has made the year "amazing" for him.
