Premier League: Chelsea Claim Big Win Against Sheffield
Frank Lampard has got a rewarding victory from his new-signings in Chelsea's 4-1 home win over Sheffield United with three of them scoring to secure the victory for the team in a comeback.
Tammy Abraham led the side on a comeback from a goal down by slamming home a Mateo Kovacic's pass after Sheffield gained the lead from David McGoldrick deflecting home Sander Berge's shot from inside the box.
Hakim Ziyech inspired the second goal with a cross for Ben Chilwell to tap in from close range and Chelsea to take the lead. Thiago Silva headed in the third from Ziyech's cross from a free-kick.
Already under pressure Sheffield gifted away the fourth from a defensive error that allowed N'Golo Kante for a through pass which Timo Werner slammed into the net with 10 minutes remaining. Werner could have scored a brace but had an attempt clipped the crossbar before he got a goal in.
Blues have now won four successive games and mainatain unbeaten run through eight games in all competitions - their last defeat was in shootouts against Arsenal in the EFL Community Shield final.
The maximum points gained from the match lifted Chelsea to the third position trailing the table leaders, Liverpool and Southampton respectively, by just a point.
